The Maine Coon breed is one of the oldest natural breeds in North America. The Maine Coon cat is the official state cat of Maine and one of the largest domestic cats you'll ever find. The Maine Coon personality is what is so endearing about these cats. They keep their clown-like and kittenish personalities through their whole lives. The Maine Coon personality tends to be playful, sociable and often vocal. The Maine Coon is often described as a dog in cat's body, they are also very sweet and affectionate,
and extremely intelligent.
The clown-like goofiness of the Maine Coon cat will never cease to keep its owner amused. The cat has a tendency to use its front paws like hands. Since the Maine Coon are so dexterous, it can even pick up small toys and objects with its large front paws.
The Maine Coon personality is drawn to water. They love to play with the water. Playing catch with running water and popping toys into the water before playing with them is a familiar sight to a Maine Coon owner. Maine Coon cats will often be seen drinking water from its paws, rather than from the water bowl.
The Maine Coon personality is very social and love to be part of everything you do.
